AIM
The aim of this procedure is to explain how a new factory owner should inform DOSH when taking over an existing factory without involving any change to the work undertaken.

New owner takes over existing factoryComplete JKJ 102Submit to DOSH office- INTRODUCTIONRegulation 10 of the Occupational Safety and Health (Notification of Accident, Dangerous Occurance, Occupational Poisoning and Occupational Disease) Regulations 2004 requires employers to maintain records of all accidents, dangerous occurances, occupational poisonings and occupational disease. Form JKKP 8 is the register of all accidents, dangerous occurances, occupational poisonings and occupational disease. All employers have to submit this register to the Director General before 31st January of each year.
All accidents, dangerous occurences, occupational poisonings and occupational disease that had occured at the work place must be recorded in this form, ranging from a minor cut to the most serious accident or poisoning irrespective whether they had been reported or notified earlier using forms JKKP6 or JKKP7. Whenever an accident occurred, the employer will have to key in the data in the form JKKP 8 as soon as possible to avoid forgetting the details of the accident if the data ara keyed in at the end of the month or year.
